It's your right to fight for justice...It's the law!
Under federal law, you have the right to:
• Participate in meetings to discuss improving things in the warehouse • Distribute, read and discuss WWOC literature (in non-work areas during breaks or before and after your shift) • Wear buttons, stickers or T-shirts supporting efforts to win justice in the warehouse • Demand that management fix problems in the warehouse through petitions or other activities • Protest unfair treatment as a group and speak out publicly for change |
Under the law, your employer can’t:
• Harass or Discriminate against workers who stand up for their rights in the warehouse. • Fire or threaten to fire, write-up, or cut the hours of an employee because they support justice in the warehouse. • Ask your opinion of WWOC or about your efforts to improve things in the warehouse • Close or threaten to close the warehouse or take away benefits or privileges in order to discourage organizing activity |
The National Labor Relations Act Says:
“Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or bargain collectively through representation of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining...” - Section 7 “It shall be an unfair labor practice for an employer...to interfere with, restrain, or coerce employees in the exercise of the rights guaranteed in Section 7...” - Section 8(a) |
